Product Process Characteristics
The commonly used production process for laminated glass is dry lamination., which sandwiches the organic material adhesive layer(PVB film) between two pieces of glass, and completely bonds the glass and the film by heating and pressurizing in an autoclave. Wet lamination, also known as grouting method, is to pour the prepared adhesive slurry between two or more pieces of glass that have been molded together, and form laminated glass by heating or light polymerization. At present, laminated glass produced by wet process is no longer used in building doors, windows and curtain walls.
Feature
1.High safety performance:When laminated glass is damaged by impact, the glass fragments will not fly away from the adhesive layer, thus playing a safety protection role.
2.Good sound insulation performance:A layer of PVB film is lined in the middle of the laminated glass, and the air between the glass and the PVB film is removed, which can absorb and filter some noise.
3.Single-pane glass has strong selectivity:The glass substrate of laminated glass can be float glass, tempered glass, tinted glass, etc. which can produce different additional effects after processing.
Applications
Laminated glass is not harmful even if broken, so it is widely used in building doors and windows, interior and exterior decoration, curtain walls, canopies, sun rooms, counters, aquariums, bank counters, bulletproof glass walls of museums,to ensure safety.
