Product Process Characteristics
Tempered glass is glass that has undergone a heat treatment process. It is made by evenly heating ordinary flat glass to 620°C in a special heating furnace to soften it slightly and expand its structure, and then quickly cooling it with a cold air flow.
Feature
1.Safety performance:The characteristic of tempered glass is that a compressive stress layer is formed on the surface of the glass. The surface stress of tempered glass should not be less than 90MPa. The mechanical strength and heat shock resistance are improved, and it has a special fragmentation state.
2.Impact resistance:The strength of tempered glass is about 2~4 times that of float glass of the same thickness, and its impact resistance is 3~5 times that of ordinary glass. Tempered glass should be able to withstand a temperature difference of 200℃ without being damaged.
3.High mechanical strength: The curvature of flat tempered glass should not exceed 0.3% when it is arched and 0.2% when it is wavy. Tempered glass cannot be cut, ground or damaged, otherwise it will break due to the destruction of the uniform compressive stress balance. Therefore, various processing should be carried out before tempering.
Applications
Tempered glass is granular after breaking, which can avoid harm to the human body. It is a high-strength safety glass. It is an ideal architectural glass and can be widely used in doors and windows, partitions, guardrails, curtain walls and store facades, as well as car windows, etc.
